Monday on a Tuesday…

Yesterday, H and I went to my school to work on a few things in my old classroom as well as a classroom that I’ll be working in for a bit of the school day this year.  I have to admit I’m a little nervous to be switching from the littles (Kindergarten and 1st) to the little bit biggers (3rd graders!!!).  It is nice that I know several of the students from when I had them in first grade.  H was super good the whole time, but I have no pictures to document our fun.  He was on-the-go the whole time!  No surprise there.  🙂  Here’s a cute pic from last year when he was a little worm helping Ma.

Fitness for the week includes…

Monday – easy walk with Roscoe We also had a sweet, little girl join us for the afternoon/evening yesterday, and it made me excited for Holden to reach that stage, not that I don’t the one we’re in right now.  It also made me think about how it would be with another kid running around…busy but fun!  Let’s just say I slept like a rock last night.  Ha!

Tuesday – 3 miles easy run with light weights

Wednesday – 30 min. yoga dvd + easy walk with Roscoe

Thursday – Long Run of 8 miles (tapering for half-marathon)

Friday – 30 min. yoga dvd + easy walk with Roscoe

Saturday – Body Weight Work 30 min + easy walk with Roscoe

Sunday – 4 miles easy run

 

Food for the week…

Tuesday – Turkey sandwiches with grilled corn and salad

Wednesday – Chicken with Mushroom Sauce and wilted spinach + baguette

Thursday – Salmon Cakes with Eggplant and Zuchinni

Friday – We’re off to the Shore for a nice visit with family, and I’m not cooking!  Well, maybe a little but not full meals.  🙂

  • Yummy Lemonade Recipe that H and I tried out – I definitely used real sugar in all it’s glory!  From Janelle at Comfy in the Kitchen
  • Sun-maid Raisins Classic Oatmeal Cookie Recipe – We (my little girl helper and I) made these last night, and they were so yummy!  I did omit the egg, because we were out.  I used two spoonfuls of applesauce.  I halved the recipe to make less and added two extra spoonfuls of flour to help with the consistency.  I will definitely be making these again!
