Whew! I have to admit that I’m glad Halloween is over! With two back-to-back class parties at school, I was pooped before I got home for our festivities. Once I got Roscoe P. Coltrane and Holden’s costumes on, I really started to get in the spirit. In celebration of the night, we had the very easy and only slightly healthy meal of steamed carrots and hot dogs (I mean, I did get the preservative/nitrate free ones!). We were off for trick-or-treating as soon as we were finished. H visited about 8 or so houses and really got the hang of what to say and do in this whole candy getting process. It was such an unseasonably warm night, but it made it great to do some front stoop sitting when we got back from getting our own candy. I’m not sure what he liked best, getting or giving candy! We stayed out until 7 or so and then unloaded the rest of our candy stash on a big group of kids. We have never gave out candy the entire trick-or-treaing time, but we just shut our door, blow out the jack-o’-lantern, and turn the front door light off. No big deal. H had his first candy bar, a fun size Milky Way, before heading off for a tubbie and bed. Although I was so tired I slept like a rock, we had a great time celebrating with our ninja trick-or-treater! Here are some pictures from our evening…

All done and ready to go!
Blurry picture, but the only one with me and my ninja 🙂
Poor Mr. Coltrane was a nervous wreck! He’s wearing a costume and doesn’t understand why baby boy is going up to strangers’ houses.

Enjoying his sweet treat
Hope you had a very happy and sweet Halloween!
