550 Pieces and Other 2015 Adventures

I’m ever so thankful that today is Tuesday.  Not to mention, it is Tuesday night!  I know “they” {the proverbial “they”} say you shouldn’t wish your life away.  I confess to dreading each morning this week.  I hate, hate, hate how much the workday wears me out for my loved ones.  I start work pretty early {sitting pretty at my desk by 7:25…well, maybe 7:30ish} every day, and I usually am able to pick Holden up by 4PM.  Sometimes, like today, I was there at 3:30.  I confess that I kind of just want to stay in the car too.  It is not at all due to not wanting to be with him.  It is completely to do with being wiped out!  The picture below was shared by a blogger that I follow.  Isn’t it all so true!?!?!  Then, I had a slight {only 3 to 4 tear cry) about the whole of life and how we will long for the days that we now wish away.  Always good to get a perspective shift!

The-Last-Time

On a lighter note, I’ve been filling my hours recently with getting back into the gym habit, and I mean going on Sunday and today by that comment.  🙂  Our gym has gotten all fancy.  I’m on the fence about it, and I had a chat with a man today about how we are totally not down with the “flow” of the place.  It’s still about 5 minutes from home.

The locker room is super stylish with a huge mirror.  Can you say #selfies?!?!  No selfies should happen at 5:00AM like this one did.

There are also two areas with that fake turf stuff.  I was slightly disgruntled when I realized that the posted flyers in one of these sections said reserved for personal training only.  Plan to completely disregard this.  I’m a firm believer in the fact that 5AM gymgoers should get their pick of the place.

The Mr. and I started a puzzle as a part of our new year-do something new-we have only 3 channels on our TV-thing.  P.S.  You can see the lovely awful scratch that Roscoe the dog put in our dining room table in this picture.  #notwinning  #healmostdied

Our goal is to be finished by the end of January.  Oh my.  We have a ways to go.  The first night was actually easier than the second.  Who would have thought!  We are taking a puzzle break for the night.  But…it’s always over there, staring at us, daring us to find a piece that fits!  I’m thinking we are too obsessive/competitive to do puzzles.  I have to admit they are slightly meditative, in a nerdy sort of way {not to be confused with hippie meditation – we are for sure not that cool.}.

I hope you’re having a great week!  Can you believe tomorrow is Hump Day?!?!?  It is also the Mr.’s official last day as a 20-something.  🙂
