L is for lemon.

Happy Hump Day!  Hope your day is going well.  We’ve had a busy one over here.  It started off with “summer school” time.  H and I have been continuing on our letter lessons.  Today was our letter L.  We looked at our pictures, and one was a lemon.  Ding ding ding!  I thought of a recipe I’ve used in the past for homemade lemonade.  See Janelle’s recipe here.  She’s got lots of other great ones too.

After a morning walk and H’s swimming lesson, we headed off to Wally World for sugar, lemons, and some other extraneous items.  I just love meandering Wal-Mart just looking.  Today, we checked out mini-blinds, night lights, the ladies’ restroom… 😉

Here’s the recipe we followed…

  1. Boil one cup water.  Pour water in bowl with one cup sugar.  Stir until dissolve.
  2. Squeeze 5 lemons {try to fish out the seeds if you can!}.
  3. Cut one lemon up and place in pitcher.
  4. Put lemon juice in pitcher.
  5. Add 6 cups water {try to use a large pitcher} to pitcher.
  6. Mix in the sugar water in the pitcher.
  7. Chill in the fridge.

Ta da!

Tomorrow is letter D.  D is for…doughnuts!
